During this call, I ask questions to learn about what you’re experiencing, give you a chance to ask me any questions you have regarding my approach, the process, fees, insurance, availability/scheduling, etc. 

People are usually nervous about beginning. I create a very comfortable, safe space and guide you through the process which tends to ease initial nervousness. In this first conversation, I try to help you figure out if I’m the right person with which to get started. I will help connect connect you with alternative referrals if I’m not able to meet your needs. I believe that finding a therapist who is a good fit for you and with whom you feel comfortable is essential to successful therapy.

Typically, I will respond to communication via this form, email, or voicemail within 48 hours with the exception of weekends and holidays. Emergency crises cannot be managed via email or telephone. Fees will be discussed during our initial phone consultation. I am an out-of-network provider meaning I am not a participating provider in any insurance plan. I can help you to apply/submit for reimbursement if you have out-of-network mental health benefits. Please consult your insurance carrier to understand your coverage and to find out if you have out-of-network benefits.
